Formula used

Cube utilization = cargo volume ÷ vehicle volume. Payload utilization = cargo weight ÷ maximum payload.

Use internal usable dimensions, not exterior vehicle dimensions. The result does not prove that every package can be physically arranged.

How to interpret the result

  • The higher utilization is the current limiting capacity.
  • A result above 100% means the load exceeds that vehicle constraint.
  • A low cube percentage can still be constrained by payload.

What is cube utilization?

Cube utilization is the cargo volume divided by the usable internal volume of the truck or container.

Why can a load with low cube utilization still be full?

Dense cargo can reach the vehicle payload limit before it occupies the available volume.

Does this calculator determine package placement?

No. It provides an aggregate capacity check. Package orientation, support, clearance, shape, and unloading sequence require a load-planning model.
